Hello all!
Well we did it! We pulled off a great day for our students and visiting bands and it’s all thanks to your hard work and dedication.
The day went so smoothly; from parking to performances, to concessions and everything in between. Our field crew got the bands on and off with ease, and every single person stepped up in some way to help our kids be the best they could be.
This was a monumental task to plan and prepare, with contingency plans galore! Thank you for coming along with me on this crazy ride. We are off to a great start to our competing season. As you saw yesterday we can’t do it without you! We will need many helping hands each week to get on and off the field. Randolph is Saturday and there are many hills involved to get equipment to the field.
It really does take a village to make the Classic work, and we had some of the best there was. We received so many compliments from visitors about how well run the show was and how they always look forward to coming to Roxbury!
Thank you to everyone again, from the bottom of my heart. I could not have done this day without all of you. Truly “one band, one family.”
Tents and coolers can be picked up on Tuesday at the end of practice. I’ll make sure they are outside on the front lawn before 6:00.
There will be a follow up chairs only meeting on Wednesday at 7:30 pm in the band room. Please bring your notes that can help make next year even better!
Again, thank you to everyone for all of your help and support to make our Classic such a wonderful success. I’m so grateful for all of you!
With appreciation,
