On Wednesday, 1/22 at 7 pm in the RHS band room, we will be holding an IMPORTANT meeting for ALL band parents. This meeting will cover several important topics:
1) Approval of Amended By-Laws – The bylaws by which the RHSBPA operates have not been amended in several years. Please take a moment to look at our amended bylaws HERE. You can compare them to the older set of bylaws HERE. At this meeting, we will be voting on the changes to make them official and we need as many people as possible to make that happen.
2) Tricky Tray Discussion – Our annual Tricky Tray will be held on 2/22 and we still need LOTS of help to make it happen. We will discuss what help is needed as we prepare and also on the day of the event. We will also be collecting donations that evening for the event. 3) Metropolitan Wind Band Invitational (MWBI) – This annual event takes place on 4/5/25. This large scale concert band invitational will feature 18 visiting groups as well as ALL THREE RHS CURRICULAR BANDS (Concert Band, Symphony Band and Honors Wind Symphony – part of students mandatory performance calendar!!!). We will discuss the logistical help needed to make this day a success for our students and the visiting groups. This is also an IMPORTANT fundraiser for the organization!
4) Spring Trip for Curricular Band Classes -Information will be coming home soon regarding our spring trip taking place on 4/11-4/13. Mr. Conrad will give a brief synopsis and be available to answer questions.
